About Receivables Management Inc.

Arthur A. Nitzsche
President and CEO
AAN Financial Services Group

Arthur A. Nitzsche began his career in 1953 as a management trainee at the National Bank of Detroit (NBD). Quickly rising through the ranks, by 1971 Nitzsche was named Vice President, Officer in charge of developing the new Charge Card Department. In this position, he supervised a staff of 30 and developed a new charge card program that reached impressive profitability for the bank after just two years.

In 1979, after laying the foundation for NBD Troy Bank and serving as its appointed chairman and president for several years, Nitzsche left the bank to launch TeleCheck Michigan, Inc., a franchise of TeleCheck Services, Inc., a check acceptance company. There, he built a thriving business clearing almost 11 million checks annually totaling more than $1 billion. The company was recognized by Inc. Magazine in 1984 as one of the nation’s fastest growing private companies.

In 2003, Nitzsche sold his TeleCheck franchise and began assembling new business ventures under the AAN Company, Inc. umbrella. The lead company in this group was Automated Collection Systems (ACS), a debt collection company.

As president and CEO of AAN Financial Services Group, Nitzsche directed four other companies within his organization. The first was Asset Recovery Team, Inc. (a DBA of ACS), which manages all aspects of debt recovery including returned checks, delinquent debt and past due accounts receivable.

The most recent company added to AAN Financial Services Group is Receivables Management Inc. (RMI), a third-party commercial and consumer collection business. Previously called Rehmann Receivables, L.L.C., when it was purchased in 2006 and added to ACS, this organization has been in operation under a variety of names since 1936. As then, the company continues to specialize in medical receivables collections. It also provides services in the government/municipality, education, utility and commercial sectors. RMI was consolidated into the Southfield, Mich. Headquarters of AAN Financial Services Group in May 2009.

Outside the office, Nitzsche serves on several boards, including the YMCA Metro Detroit Board and the Michigan Council on Economic Education. He is a past-president and board member of Gilda’s Club Metro Detroit, and serves on the Board of Governors of the Skyline Club. Nitzsche also is a previous member of the board for the Detroit Science Center. Other memberships have included the Detroit Economic Club, Direct Marketing Association of Detroit, and Detroit Regional, Southfield and Michigan Chambers of Commerce.

Nitzsche holds an MBA degree with honors from Michigan State University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in economics from Ohio State University.
